Confirmation

Confirmation

The Sacrament of Confirmation strengthens the soul with the grace of the Holy Spirit to be a witness of the faith in our world, to spread and defend it in word and deed. It is the completion of baptismal grace. Evangelization is our work at St Anthony’s.

Confirmation, the third and final Sacrament of Initiation into the Catholic Church, normally takes place during the junior year of high school.  It is NOT a graduation. but an opportunity to bring the student into a deeper understanding about living out their Catholic discipleship each day.

Due to our small number of Confirmation-aged students, St. Anthony does not currently offer structured Confirmation classes.

Interested families have three options:

  1. Join the parish RCIA sessions. These sessions provide a fuller understanding of all the Sacraments of Initiation.
  2. Independent study with an assigned mentor using the program "Decision Point from Dynamic Catholic.
  3. Join a Confirmation Program at a sister parish, such as Holy Rosary or St. Anne.
