Devotions
Devotions are important Catholic traditions of prayerful means of drawing nearer to Christ, His Blessed Mother, and other saints. Devotions enrich and further develop one’s faith and prayer life. The most common devotions practiced as a community at Saint Anthony are Eucharistic Adoration, recitation of The Holy Rosary 30 minutes before Masses, recitation of The Divine Mercy Chaplet, on Sundays after Mass, participation in The Divine Mercy Holy Hour, and attendance at First Friday Mass.
Devotions are cherished traditions of the Catholic Church that offer the faithful prayerful means of growing in intimacy with Christ, His Blessed Mother, and the saints. Through these practices, the life of faith is nourished and one’s personal and communal prayer is deepened. At Saint Anthony, the parish community regularly gathers for a variety of devotions, including Eucharistic Adoration; the recitation of the Holy Rosary thirty minutes before Mass; the Divine Mercy Chaplet on Sundays following Mass; participation in the Divine Mercy Holy Hour; and attendance at First Friday Mass.
