In the rich tapestry of the Catholic faith, community plays a pivotal role in nurturing our spiritual journey. While attending Mass is a cherished tradition for many, there are individuals among us who, due to health challenges or mobility issues, cannot attend Mass. This is where the profound beauty of our Homebound Ministry, a ministry dedicated to ensuring that every member of our parish feels connected and valued, no matter their circumstances.  By reaching out to our homebound parishioners, we acknowledge their presence and importance within the Body of Christ.

The Role of the Ministers

Volunteers who serve in the Homebound Ministry are equipped with a mission of love. These dedicated men and women take the time to visit those who are homebound/hospitalized, offering companionship, prayer, and, when possible, the Eucharist. Their role is not merely to provide a service but to cultivate a relationship that nourishes both the visitor and the visited. Each visit is an opportunity to share the Word of God, listen to personal stories, and foster a sense of belonging to our community.

During visits, ministers engage with homebound/hospitalized individuals through prayer and scripture readings, creating a sacred space where faith can flourish.

Families of homebound individuals often experience anxiety and stress regarding the well being of their loved ones. Knowing that

How to Get Involved

At St. Anthony of Padua, we welcome anyone who wishes to get involved in our Homebound Ministry. Whether you feel called to serve as a visiting minister or would like to recommend individuals who may benefit from this outreach, your participation makes a significant impact. Training and resources are provided to equip ministers with the skills and confidence needed to share Christ's love effectively.
